CHNSpec Spectrophotometer for Photovoltaic Industry

Today we will introduce how to measure the yellowness index of solar backplane film for photovoltaic industry.
The first step: Prepare the backplane films. (as show in figure)
The second step: Turn on Spectrophotometer CS-660. Firstly, calibrate the instrument. Press “print” to view the measurement area. Put the sample on the test caliber. Make sure no light will enter into instrument to avoid test result. Press “test”, after hearing the sound of “beep”, we will can see the test result on screen.

After measurement, we can see the yellowness value of the solar backplane films and yellowness difference value directly on screen. With the value, we can evaluate the products quality to meet customer’s high quality requirement and ensure that solar cells absorb solar energy, and improve the power output of solar modules.
